A Personal Encounter with the God of the Universe Is Powerful! (Lk 19:1-10)
Monday Oct 31, 2022
Monday Oct 31, 2022
How could the God who made this vast universe really know each of us by name and have a relationship with each one of us that depends on how we respond. It is mind-boggling, and awesome, but it is what Jesus promises and what many have experienced. It is the first step of becoming a disciple, that is to have a life-changing encounter with the risen Lord. In this family we continue to lay out the pastoral plan for our parish including the characteristics of a missionary disciple.

Religion is a Response to God: Right Religion is about GOLF!
Sunday Oct 23, 2022
Sunday Oct 23, 2022
This is the first in a series of homilies introducing our new Parish vision and plan following the New Evangelization. The New Evangelization recognizes that our faith isn’t first about our practices rather it’s first about what God has done for us, and religion is a response to that. It’s really all about GOLF; God Offers Love First, And then we respond by serving him and following His teachings. So passing on the faith, or evangelizing, is praying for and inviting someone to experience the miracle of encountering God’s Love, in response that person will then want learn more, and practice more, and follow more, and share more, their faith.

The Need to Pray Always for the Battle We Are In (Lk 18:1-8)
Sunday Oct 16, 2022
Sunday Oct 16, 2022
Christ sits at the right hand of God constantly interceding for His Church. Here on earth we are The Body of Christ and our prayers are still an important part of His work as they are joined with his prayer for the coming of the kingdom. We do indeed work physically, for the good of the world, and that is more understandable to us, but our greatest work is our spiritual work; that is our prayer for the good of the world.

A Mustard Seed of Faith Is All We Need (Lk 187:5-10)
Sunday Oct 02, 2022
Sunday Oct 02, 2022
It never feels like we have enough faith. It always feels like it’s a mustard seed, and not enough. However that is enough, if we act on it God will provide. Let us not be discouraged by what seems like small faith. If we all acted on the little faith we have, it would be enough to do the impossible. God wants to increase our faith, and our hope, for this he has given us his love. So let us pray that God increases our faith, hope, and love.

Care for the Poor is a Mandatory Part of the Christian Faith (Lk 16:19-31)
Sunday Sep 25, 2022
Sunday Sep 25, 2022
Sometimes we think of caring for the poor as an option that is good to do. Today’s readings show that it is not an option it’s a command that God takes very seriously, and can be the difference between heaven and hell. But on a more positive note it’s an opportunity to serve the poor and suffering incarnate Christ.
