God called Abraham to step out in faith, from his comfortable home, to an unknown future to be a blessing to others. In the Gospel Jesus is revealed as the Way the Truth and the Life, and today’s passage, we are instructed to listen to Him. The world needs more Abrahams, that is those who are willing to step out in faith to live a life in response to God’s voice, and to be a blessing to the nations. This is how God answers our prayers for a better world.
