Saint Paul tells us that through one person, sin entered the world, and that sin spread until all had sinned. If one person can have such power in a negative way, one person doing good can also have great power. Jesus Christ is of course, that one person, but we too are that one person as He is asking us now to stand by him and his mission, so that at our judgment, he may stand by us and present us to the Father.

The Eucharist is a source and summit of our faith. It’s both a noun and a verb. It is an exchange between God and humanity. We receive salvation through the presence of Christ in us being made one with Him, and we join ourselves to the perfect sacrifice of Christ, making of us and acceptable offering to God.

We receive the Holy Spirit through Jesus. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus. Because of it we are members of His Body. The Church is the Body of Christ on earth. We are made One Body by the One Spirit that gives different gifts to each person so that we are inter-dependent, one upon the other, but together we are His Body.
