The kingdom of God is likened to a wedding feast, it’s fullness is only in heaven, but even now we’re called to live in the peace and joy of God in the midst of a troubled world. We don’t feel worthy always, and we don’t feel the love the joy and the peace always, but come to the feast as you are, and let it transform you, God will be our strength and our peace and our joy.

In the Gospels today, Jesus gives us a kind of Rorschach test. We can look at this word picture and see the unfairness of God, or His generosity to all his children. Likewise, we can see our own lives the same way as a struggle, or as a Joy. Jesus is inviting us into the joy of life’s struggles, by the miracle of discipleship.

Wow, today’s readings suggest that I can be held responsible for another person’s sin if I don’t speak up. That is because love calls us to help everyone become a better person and sin prevents that. The purpose of our lives is to become the best version of ourselves, And a true friend, or a true brother or sister in Christ, lovingly helps others do the same.
